8 Lessons

Week 1 - Ready, Set, Go

Introduction: Parts of the guitar, posture, hand positions, playing a really simple song.

Week 2 - Playing Individual Notes

Learning about frets. The G scale. Another simple song.

Week 3 - Fingering Individual Notes with your left hand

More about frets and scales. Nailing the G Scale. You first real song.

Week 4 - Introduction to Chords

What is a chord? Fingering your first chords.

Week 5 - Strumming Chords

The most basic strumming pattern. Changing chords. Some tricks.

Week 6 - Chord Variations

2, 3 and 4 note chords for the key of G.

Week 7 - Chord Patterns

The most basic chord pattern. Strumming chords to simple songs in G.

Week 8 - Chords for the key of D

Strumming chords to simple songs in the key of D



*Every day for 15 minutes or at least 3 times a week for about a half hour.
